My name is Miles Greer. I live in the Twin Cities where I attend high school at Legacy Christian Academy. Golf has been my passion since I was eight years old.
My first two years of golf lessons were guided by Greg Schulze, PGA. They focused on the foundations of golf, where I was required to have a thorough understanding of ball flight laws, swing mechanics, and analyzing divot patterns.
After my freshman year of high school, it was clear a few things needed to change:
I needed more speed
Devote more time to putting
Develop a better mental game
SPEED
Rypstick has played a large roll in me gaining dramatic increases in club head speed. Coupled with the technology the Whoop biosensor gives, I have seen an increase in 16 mph between freshman and sophomore year.
Fast twitch muscle fibers activating at the right time and with the right sequence is vital. Dr Kwon is widely considered as the leading expert in golf Biomechanics. He has helped me harness my body in the right way.
For me, AimPoint has been central to my putting success. I have completed the following courses:
AimPoint 1, & 2
AimPoint Express
AimPoint Speed
Putting
There’s no such thing as the perfect round.
The Mental Game
Realizing that fact took time and …. more time. For me, I was NEVER going to play competitive golf with any level of success until I conquered all mental aspects. I have found that the absolute best books which focus on the mental game are: Zen Golf, The Four Foundations of Golf, The Tournament Golfer’s Playbook and Mastering Golf’s Mental Game.
When I started high school, I made the choice to step away from my other interest, basketball. I decided I wanted to commit all of my extra time to practicing and playing golf.
For the past several years, I have been using the latest technology to help me improve:
Whoop
Trackman
Flightscope
Inner Balance Coherence Plus
SAM PuttLab
I have been very fortunate to surround myself with some of the best instructors and trainers including:
Greg Schultz, PGA
Brent Snyder, PGA
Gaylen Allen, PGA
Andy Thompson
Bennett Black
